When I had mine put in I wasn't told that at intallation I could ask for an extended warranty at an extra $5.00 a month. So in turn I was given 3 months, then after that had to pay for the service. Of course when I called about the extended plan I was told that I would have to pay a tech to check out the equipment to make sure it was in good working order first, which is understandable. However they wanted $499 to come out and look at it first. Obviously I said no.
And still the cup shouldn't have to say HOT

James I did get mine through adt and not a dealer. I don't pay for service calls. But I went straight to ADT.

Did you purchase ADT through a reseller? My monthly includes maintenance.
