1. There's no free lunch. The free equipment comes with the contract.
2. When false alarms occur and if you're on vacation or not home, then you'll not be able to see the Police. You'll have to contact the Police to verify the false alarm incidents. It's the Police who bills you but not the Alarm Force.
3. You don't have UPS proof of delivery.
You should talk to Alarm Force to cancel the contract in the hope of closing the deal with a discount instead of hoping Alarm Force to cover all the cost for you since the contract is a legal document and you don't have UPS proof of delivery.

While sympathizing with your situation, there’re a couple of points for your reference:<br

Recently this month, my alarm box announced sensor 10 reading "low battery" . I could not change the batteries because the screw was in too tight. I stripped the screw. Both Alarm Force technician at 800 number and technician that came out to replace sensor #10 said typical for screw to be too tight. Technician that came out and replaced Sensor 10, said no need to replace batteries. Two days after we received a new sensor 10, my alarm box announces "low battery sensor 10". I replace the batteries. And I call into Alarm Force. 5 days later after replacing batteries in new sensor #10 alarm box announces "low battery sensor 10". I called this morning and spoke to Mohammed at Alarm Force (10/13/10) Mohammed advises they can come out and replace the sensor again but there is no guarantee that will fix my problem. He deems that my problem is because of our weather. He said they will not replace the unit.
I told Mohommed, you're kidding, right? Last year the state of Georgia (USA) had 71 inches of rain. Every year we have 100 to 110 deg F summers, we had 2 snows storms this year (below freezing temperatures) and Mohammed still insisted that our weather (currently 80 deg F) was the cause of the sensor problem.
I told him that was not acceptable. I have this system for 2 years and now my system may not work because of 80 degree weather? I said you must think the people in the South are not very intelligent. I told him that was an insult to tell me that my security has now been compromised by our weather which is currently 80 deg f and may not function the way it is supposed to. He made an appt for a technician to come out to my house 2 weeks from today, I need an evening appt.
I filed a complaint with GA Bureau of Consumer Affairs. I paid good money for the security of my house. I don't need someone up in Toronto to insult me and degrade my intelligence that I am supposed to accept sub service from Alarm Force because of "the weather".
Alarm Force can issue me a full refund of the equipment, they can pick it all up. I will find a local security system company who won't "blame any equipment failures on "the weather".

Have have had Alarm Force security for over 2 years (3 year contract) – paid for equipment outright.
